Water Testing & Treatment with a Certified Plumber

Having clean drinking water is a necessity. Uncertified plumbers might not have the skills and equipment to truly guarantee the utmost safety of your water.

On the other hand, when your water is tested and treated by a certified plumber, you can rest easy knowing you are completely risk-free.

Junior’s Plumbing has certified employees who all go through rigorous training, all in an effort to provide you with a service of the highest quality. We ensure thorough testing and treatment of your water.

Quality Testing Services

Some of the most common homeowners’ concerns when it comes to water quality are its pH levels, iron, and hardness. If the pH level is too low, it’s a sign that your water may be contaminated with pollutants. It can damage your home’s pipes and is unsafe to drink. And if the pH level is too high, you’ll start to notice an unpleasant smell or taste.

Iron in your water can be toxic, which is why municipal water is usually overtreated. This creates hardness in your water that can affect your appliances, damage your clothing, cause skin irritations, and more.

Junior’s Plumbing will ensure that your water is neither overtreated nor undertreated. We’ll test your water for pH levels, iron, and hardness, and offer appropriate water treatments.

Junior’s Plumbing Partners with Leading Labs in Virginia

If you’re concerned that your water contains any harmful bacteria, minerals or elements, we can take your water for further testing.

Lab testing for some common elements takes no longer than 2 to 4 business days, while it will take no more than 10 business days to test your water for uncommon elements.

You will receive a certified letter with your results, signed by the doctor who’s tested your water. If we find an issue, we’ll help you deal with it and provide you with quality water treatment. Immediately.

For well shocking with bacterial testing, we will first send our plumbing technician to shock your well and strategically place the disinfecting chemicals along your plumbing lines and fixtures – in places where bacteria are likely to be present.

Our technician will return in 24 to 48 hours to flush the plumbing lines and fixtures to ensure the chemicals are completely rinsed off. Then, they will collect a water sample and send it to the lab for testing. You can expect to receive a certification with negative bacterial test results within 2-4 business days.

There is a very wide range of options for filters today ranging from basic cartridge systems that are disposed of and replaced routinely, or low-to-no maintenance options that are changed out less frequently or even simply flushed and reusable. There are a wide variety of filters that can purify your water and keep it safe for consumption.

UV Systems

The UV light system is installed on your main water line, just after the filter, and before any conditioning systems.  The water come right in a the main supply, through the filter, and in the UV where the water passes directly through the UV light which removes 99.99% of bacteria present in the water.  It then leaves the outlet and is bacteria free.  This is the most permanent and effective way to rid your water of bacteria if coliform is or was present in your water lines.
